The game that challenges your brain and threatens your friendships.

A’ight, Bet! is a game of trivia, bluffing, and healthy smack-talking among friends. The object of the game is to list a certain number of items in a category in order to win that round.

If you’re playing with more than two people, split into two teams and pick one representative to play for your team each round.

Each round is played head-to-head by two people. One person plays the Hopeful. The Hopeful believes they can complete the task at hand. The other person plays the Hater. The Hater will do anything to make sure the Hopeful loses.

Hopeful character choosing a category

To play, the Hopeful chooses a category, then draws a challenge from that category. They keep the challenge to themselves and decide on how many of whatever’s on the card they think they can name (Ex: Disney movies). Next, the Hopeful bids a certain number they think they can name (Ex: I think I can name five).

The Hater, who knows the category but not the challenge, then counters with their own bid, which must be higher than the Hopeful’s bid. The Hater is the challenger whose goal is to throw the Hopeful off their game. The two players go back and forth bidding until, finally, someone decides they can’t bid any higher. At any time during the volley, one of the two players can say “Aight Bet!”

When someone says “Aight, Bet!,” the challenge card is revealed and the other player must name at least as many things as they bid in one minute (Ex: nine Disney movies). If they succeed before time runs out, they win a point. If they fail, the other player wins a point.

Play another round! This time the players switch positions as the Hopeful and the Hater (two players) or new representatives for each team play (teams). If your teammate was the Hopeful in the last round, you’re the Hater this round.

Whichever player or team reaches 5 points first WINS!
